A great part of the circuit is made in all-terrain trucks, although much is to be seen on foot. Therefore it is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Covering 1.67 hectares, this park allows the visitor to enjoy looking at marine fauna and exotic birds in semi-liberty - species such as dolphins, sea lions, toucans, parrots and sulphur-crested cockatoos. The sentre also features the "Island of Ice", a name by which the first penguin enclosure made of ice in Andalusia is known.
The young and the not-so-young will also be able to enjoy the "Touch and Explore" installation, where you can experience marine species such as rays, starfish and sea urchins up close and stroke them.
You can have a free face painting and visit the virtual rality area.
CABLE CARS - TELEFERICO
Starting from outside Tivoli World in Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmadena, the small four-person cabins take you on an approximate 10-minute journey to the upper station, which stands at a little less than 724 metres above sea level. From there you can stroll to other viewpoints and admire what are undoubtedly the best views of the Costa del Sol. This could be a really exciting and breath-taking experience.
On a clear day you will be able to see as far as the Rock of Gibraltar and across the sea to Morocco.
On the top you can enjoy a free donkey ride and free face painting.
For a lot of people scuba diving may conjure up visions of the Caribbean islands; however, the Costa del Sol also has a surprising amount to offer. Due to it's proximity, many European residents are choosing the Spanish-Mediterranean coastline as their beginners training ground and experts can find very exciting dives here too, for a fraction of the cost. The best diving is enjoyed on the stretch east of Malaga to just past Nerja. Beginners are usually offered the opportunity to get the basics more locally with a full day learning in a pool or confined area, followed by an actual sea dive. Experienced divers, accompanied by a guide, can visit a wider choice of locations ranging from simple fish watching to shipwreck exploration.
A splashing time is guaranteed for all the family at Parque Acuatico Mijas. This water park promises the biggest thrills and spills on its attraction, "Adventure River", over 300 feet of winding raft slide. Navigate the Wild River sitting in a monster-sized rubber ring, body ski down tier after tier of water chute, surf the wave pool or dare to try the giant kamikaze slide. There's a mini aquatic park for the little ones and spacious lake-shaped swimming pools for those who like their action a little less wild - all set amongst delightful palm-treed gardens. There are changing rooms, showers, safety deposit boxes for your valuables, floats, sun beds and air mattresses for hire and a programme of activities ranging from aerobics to volleyball.
The Crocodile Park at Aljaima is one of Spain's most fascinating attractions. In the nursery you may be lucky enough to see young crocodiles emerging from their eggs. You can even pose for a photo cuddling one of the babies before meeting the rest of the family, which include adult crocodiles measuring more than five metres in length. Other highlights are the African Museum, mini-cinema, a small animals zoo, a reptile house and feeding time!
At the Sea Life Centre in the marina of Benalmadena Costa you can actually handle crabs, starfish and sea cucumbers in the 'touch pool' and see tiny sharks and rays swimming in their egg cases with the aid of magnifying glasses. There is a Sting Ray tank, where hand-feeding the fish is an incredible experience and a 10 metre underwater glass tunnel, through which you can see tiger sharks nearly two metres long swimming above your head.
Address: Puerto Deportivo, Benalmadena-Costa.
From mysterious Madagascar to the heart of the African continent, and then to the lost jungles of the Far East, there's a whole new world to discover at Fuengirola's newest attraction - and only a few minutes walk from the main bus and train stations.
You will find a number of lemurs, flamingos, Nile crocodiles, Royal pythons, giant snails, chameleons, uroplatus geckos, suricates, pelicans, crowned cranes, sacred ibises, pygmy hippopotamuses, mandrills and leopards, etc., living in semi-liberty.
FISHING & BOAT CRUISE: There are several different activities in this section. Have a boat trip From/To Benalmadena To/From Fuengirola or Malaga.
Discover the underwater world through the glass cabins of Aqua Vista. See the rocks, small fishes, porcurpne fish, seashells and much more. A beautiful and magical spectacle of the underwater life.
Enjoy a day dedicated to the fishing on a boat fully equipped for FISHING and SAILING in the sea.
Spend an idyllic time in Spain fishing hefty catches with the best course fishing in southern Spain - on the side of the lakes and from the riverside.
Tours on horseback have become very popular. There are very scenic riding itineraries through numerous nature parks, coastal routes and even beach riding in Tarifa in Cadiz. If you don't mind the drive to get there, you can even explore the 19th century bandit and smuggler hideouts in the Sierras de Ronda mountain range! There is no shortage of places to ride -a great many farms, riding schools and stables provide reasonably priced riding lessons, horseback tours or simply horses for hire. We reccomend the stables in the natural reserve of Sierra de las Nieves.
Quads, biking, mountain climbing, canyoning, paintball, themed events and yacht charters. For those who have a real sense of adventure or for those who like to find activities that they would usually not get to do in their everyday lives, we can offer real adventure and teambuilding events and activities with the companies, operated for many years on the Costa del Sol.
TENNIS: Spain is an ideal place for tennis, not only because of its climate and many hours of sun, but also because of the number and quality of its clubs and courts. There is an excellent level of instruction for learners and it is almost a/ways possible for visitors to play as a guest of a member by paying a court rental fee. Also, many hotels, housing complexes and commercial zones have rental courts. Municipal sports installations, 'Polideportivos', often have inexpensive court rental rates.
MARBELLA GUN & COUNTRY CLUB: Set in the foothills of th Sierra de las Nieves mountain range within 140 acres of countryside. This gun and country club is more than what the name suggests. They organise and easily tailor-make a wide range of activities including various formats of clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, jeep safaris, air rifle shooting, mountain biking and even archery. For the less ambitious there is a beautiful swimming pool and childrens area. Reservations for activities are essential.
COSTA DEL SOL HIPPODROME: For something a little different, why not go to the races? Hipodromo Costa del Sol has regular horse races on Sunday lunchtimes in winter and night races on Saturdays in the summer. They have bars, restaurants, souvenir shops and, of course, a betting shop!
